The former world number one recognizes that it needs a vacation to unwind and recuperate tennis
Ana Ivanovic announced it temporarily withdrew from tennis to regain strength. The former WTA number one has taken this decision after being eliminated in the first round of U.S. Open by Ukraines Katerina Bondarenko, number 52 in the world ranking.

I will separate myself from the world of tennis for a while and then return to winning ways. I disappointed because I made blunders throughout the game. I also missed my right, my best weapon. Everything has to do with my loss of confidence, he said.
Years ago I had no real vacation, so I can hardly wait to disconnect a little tennis. It will help me return to the path of success, he said.
Exactly one year ago Ivanovic ranked womens tennis ladder up but it all started to go wrong after being eliminated from the last U.S. Open in the second round. His greatest success was his victory at Roland Garros in May last year.
