The Belgian Justine Henin and Serbian Ana Ivanovic, ranked in the top two positions in the world ranking in the WTA circuit, will compete in May at the German Open taking place in Berlin, as confirmed today the organizers of the event.

Ivanovic, a finalist in the Australia Open, won in Berlin last year after recovering from a set lost in front of the Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova to get his first title on clay, detailed Reuters.
For its part, Henin was crowned three times in the German capital.
It is hoped that the tournament, which distributes 1.34 million in prizes, attracts other players placed among the top 10 ranking to play between 5 and 11 May.
