The Serbian Ana Ivanovic won the title at Indian Wells break for 6-4 and 6-3 to Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova, who defeated in one hour and 21 minutes.
With more effectively in the draw that his rival and with little errors, Ivanovic managed to get hold of the first set, which started very equalled. He move to Russia on both sides of the track and decided to blows winners.

In the second match, the Serbian broke service early in the second favorite of the tournament to get to 2-1, but Kuznetsova was able to respond, the move back and stood in front (2-3).

"I am very happy for the title. Had to be aggressive, Svetlana is a great player, I knew it had to displace the track," said the Serb at the end of the meeting. "We started very well the two, but I have focused on the draw and I have taken advantage of opportunities that have been presented," he added.
In the upcoming Masters Series Cay Vizcaino (Miami, USA), Ivanovic hopes to repeat success in that tournament. "I had good feelings these days, I would relax a bit and improve in the next," he said.
