The Serbian Ana Ivanovic achieved on Monday (Australian time) to overcome sleep during the match played in the morning and beat the Danish Caroline Wozniacki 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) to reach the quarterfinals of Open Tennis Australia.

"I am delighted to have happened," said the Serb, who needed two match points to advance over his rival of 17 years. "I played well at first, and then gave me dream. Happy I am to have achieved complete in two sets."
Ivanovic will play on Tuesday against the winner of the match to be held Venus Williams and Polish Marta Domachowska. It promises to be ready in the event of having to play in the morning.
"This was my first match, and I used to sleep until late," said Ivanovic. "Today I had to adjourn early, so I went to bed at ten o'clock at night. But I am in good shape and I feel list."
Wozniacki finished first in the top 100 last season after a decisive semifinal at the Japan Open and this was his debut at the Australian Open.
